Puzzle

Cargo Bay

Pack crates into an 8×8 bay, three at a time. Fill a row or column to clear it, chain clears for combos, and keep the bay open.

What is Cargo Bay?

Cargo Bay is a block-placement puzzle. The bay is an 8-by-8 grid and the loading dock offers three crates at a time. Drag each crate anywhere it fits; crates don't rotate. When a row or column is completely full it clears, scoring points and freeing space. There's no timer and nothing falls: the only way to lose is to run out of room for all three crates.

Scoring rewards planning. Clearing two or more lines with one crate multiplies the points, and clearing on consecutive placements builds a combo that multiplies them again. Your best score is kept in your browser, and an unfinished game resumes when you come back.

How to play Cargo Bay

  1. Drag a crate from the dock onto the bay. The highlight shows where it will land, blue if it fits, red if not.
  2. Fill a complete row or column to clear it. Several at once score more.
  3. Clear on back-to-back placements to build a combo multiplier.
  4. When all three crates are placed, three new ones arrive.
  5. The game ends when none of the three crates fits anywhere. Beat your best score.

Cargo Bay tips and strategy

  • Keep the bay open. Points lost to a jammed board outweigh any combo.
  • Avoid single-cell holes; 3×3 squares and five-long bars need room to land.
  • Fill from the edges and corners inward so big crates always have a home.
  • Plan all three crates together before placing the first; order often decides whether a line clears.
  • When the bay is over half full, take any clear you can, even a small one.

Scoring in Cargo Bay

Every cell placed scores one point. Clearing lines scores ten points per line, multiplied by the number of lines cleared at once, so a double clear is worth four times a single. A combo counter rises while you clear on consecutive placements and adds fifty percent per step; it resets on any placement without a clear.

The crate set

Thirty-one shapes from a single cell to the 3×3 block and five-long bars, including every rotation of the L, T and S shapes. Bigger crates appear a little less often, and a crate that no longer fits anywhere is dimmed in the dock so you can see trouble coming.
